FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Conyers, GA – The Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts (CRCA) Board of Directors announced today that Shelli Siebert will step down from her position as Executive Director, effective June 30, 2025.

Siebert has served as Executive Director since 2015, leading CRCA through a period of growth, innovation, and community impact. Under her leadership, CRCA expanded its arts programming, strengthened partnerships with local schools and businesses, launched the Inspiration Theater, Public Art Program, Music & Education Program, and Black Heritage of Rockdale County Partnership.  She introduced the Theatre Out of the Box initiative aimed at increasing access to the arts for the local disabled community.

“After serving the Council for over 10 years, it is time to take on new challenges,” says Siebert.  “The time that I have served as the Executive Director has been quite honestly the most fulfilling professional experience I could have asked for.  While leaving the Council was a difficult decision, the timing is right.  I came to CRCA excited to promote the Arts in Conyers and Rockdale County, and I feel now, 10 years later the Arts are a key part of the fabric of our community.  Arts are vital to Economic Development, Quality of Life, and the overall health of our community.  Programs such as Inspiration Theater, Jazz Sessions and our Children’s programs continue to grow and thrive.”

The CRCA Board of Directors has accepted Siebert’s resignation with gratitude for her years of dedicated service, and an interim leadership plan is in place to ensure a smooth transition.   Rachelle Norton will take over as Interim Director, supported by an engaged, knowledgeable and active Board of Directors.

The CRCA Board of Directors expresses its deepest gratitude to Mrs. Siebert for her dedicated leadership and significant contributions to the organization. “We are immensely thankful for Shelli’s vision, passion, and tireless efforts, which have greatly enriched our community through the arts,” said Derwin Daniels, Board Chair of CRCA. “Her commitment has left an indelible mark, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter and remain committed to continuing the important work of CRCA.”

The Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts remains steadfast in its mission to “connect neighbors, cultivate artistic expression, and celebrate our community’s stories through the power of creativity and the arts.”  We look forward to building on our strong foundation and continuing to serve our community with innovative and accessible programming.

Siebert will be taking the role of business development manager for the City of Conyers.  This new position aims to promote community growth and enhance collaboration between the business community and city government.
