Rockdale Citizen Clipping: Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist to present program on Rockdale’s little-known black history

CONYERS — The Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts and Katrina Young invite the community to “an evening of discovery” as Rockdale native E.R. Shipp presents The Black Side of Rockdale County History: An Interactive Experience.

Shipp will return to the Conyers community to share “insights into the not-so-well known sojourn of blacks in the Conyers area,” and she invites community residents to bring their own stories and artifacts to share.  The free program is scheduled for Aug. 4, 5:30 p.m., at the J.P. Carr Community Center, 981 Taylor St.
