Conyers, GA – Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts (CRCA) and Reel Cool Entertainment are pleased to present the debut performance from Inspiration Theater – Heaven In Chains by playwright Norman Macera.
This groundbreaking show surrounds four Roman Catholic priests, who have been relieved of their religious duties and ordered to attend psychiatric evaluation and group therapy, at a retreat home owned by the Archdiocese. These priests are being kept away from the general population, because of the crimes committed against their faith.
Heaven in Chains is a powerful psychological drama torn from today’s headlines, peppered with dark comedy and satiric moments, which makes an evening at the theater truly something to talk about.
“Heaven In Chains is a truly compelling piece,” stated CRCA Executive Director Shelli Siebert. “I think it will be one of those shows that you have to see multiple times to be able to appreciate all of the nuances.”
The show will be at the CRCA Theater in Olde Town Conyers from March 23-26, 2023 and March 30 – April 2, 2023. More information and tickets are available at conyersarts.org.
Heaven in Chains launches CRCA’s new program, Inspiration Theater. This groundbreaking initiative will bring new and innovative theatrical productions to the CRCA Theater containing current, thought-provoking themes and social issues. Inspiration Theater will feature a variety of topics and themes with the aim to create meaningful dialogue and inspire positive change in the community. Giving back is a central goal for the series, too. Through these exciting shows, CRCA will have the ability to spotlight other non-profits and agencies and the great deeds they bring to our community. Some of these may include Jerusalem House, Lost-n-Found Youth, United Way of Greater Atlanta, and more.
